Golden Wedding Anniversary Card

Last weekend a friend (and fellow demonstrator) celebrated her Golden Wedding Anniversary - 50 years💗 A big congratulations to her and her husband.

I took my inspiration from this card but I added to it to make it a bit more special for the occasion.

I chose to fill five of the the hearts with gold foil hearts to signify the 50 years of marriage and I embossed the background with the soon to be retired Scripty 3D embossing folder

The hearts come from the Many Hearts Dies which I love, and my tip for you here is to use the Adhesive Sheets when you cut out your hearts.  The outlines are very small and the adhesive sheets make life so much easier when you come to stick them on.
To make the gold edging I used the new Gilded Leafing and my Tear & Tape. I started with a panel of White cardstock and I stuck Tear & Tape adhesive along the top and bottom edges.  I peeled the backing off and placed the panel face down in my container of Gilded Leafing.  I pressed it on and used a brush to remove all the excess back into the container.  It gave me a lovely golden edge which the photo doesn't do justice to.
Then I adhered the panel onto the front of my embossed card front and attached the whole lot to the front of my card base.
The wedding rings come from the Little Treats stamp set which was in last year's Christmas Mini Catalogue.  It was perfect for the corner inside the card and I also used it on the envelope.  I stamped it in VersaMark ink and embossed it with Gold Emboss Powder.  The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.
It was a pleasure to make such a special card for a friend.  I wish her and her husband many happy years ahead.
