Come Sail Away with me to Daisy Lane

Today at my monthly craft class we used the new Come Sail Away Suite to make two cards.

The first card was inspired by one we made at OnStage in April and I have made it as a full sized card instead of note card sized, as it was.

The second card was inspired by a card I found on Sweet Paper Studios and I made my version without the bling.

My next class is Monday night and we'll be making cards again, this time using the Daisy Lane and Above the Clouds bundles.

This one was inspired by Kate Morgan - I loved what she'd created with the daisies and this lovely new colour Pretty Peacock.  I also have this ribbon in Seaside Spray and I'm excited to try it in that as well.

Lastly we'll float Above the Clouds with our Hot Air Balloons.  The clouds have been embossed with white embossing powder but they still retain that great textured look created by the stamp.

Rocking Climbing Wall

On Saturday my youngest daughter and I had a birthday party to attend for my best friend's son. He recently went indoor 'rock climbing' for the first time.

We used some current and retired product to make his card look like a rock climbing wall.

On the inside we used a new stamp called Celebrate with Cake to stamp him a birthday cake - it had to have 4 candles and, according to my daughter, had to be chocolate with chocolate icing.

She made him a handmade gift to go with the card and we were off to a party.
