Dishwasher Labels

A friend of mine celebrated her birthday recently.  We don't really do gifts for each other now - we both have kids and focus on them instead - but she'd commented about my dishwasher labels so I decided to make her a set.

Whilst I had the bits out to make them, I made an extra set, which I will keep as a gift for another occasion.  I used a retired stamp for the tag topper because it was the most appropriate stamp I had.

Because I was keeping things simple, I popped them in a large envelope.  But of course I couldn't give a plain boring envelope, so I decorated it up a bit.  The sentiment said it all - Happy Birthday To A Wonderful Friend.

WOW - 8 New Choices

WOW!  Stampin' Up! have released 8 New Choices this morning to choose from for your Sale-A-Bration freebie.

Spend $110 (before shipping) and you can choose any one of these products below.  Spend $220 and you can choose two and so on and so forth.

This really is a great deal, because they're already things you know and love.  Check them out:

The 2016-2018 In Colours are: Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum.

The Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper is a great one, because it's one of the Specialty Designer Series Papers.  The Seaside Embossing folder is one of the new larger size ones and the other two are the standard size.

Here are links to all these great things if you want to check out what they're like (don't worry that the codes are different in these links - they assign new ones when they are Sale-A-Bration items).  But hurry - I believe these will go super quick!

10th Wedding Anniversary

Friday was our 10th Wedding Anniversary.  Here is a beautiful card my Mum made us

You can just see in the photo (to the right of the silver flower), where she has embossed the black layer with the Falling Petals Embossing folder to look like tiny hearts.

Purple and silver were our wedding colours so Mum has done really well.  I love this card and Mum has used this great set which is available in a bundle called Special Reason to make it.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Basic Black, Silver Glimmer
Dies: Stylish Stems Framelits dies,
Stamps: Special Reason,
Other: Tea Lace Doily, Silver Glitter Ribbon

Window Shopping Birthday

One of the ladies in my team above me was having a birthday last week.

Instead of a box, I used the Window Shopping bundle to create this birthday card for her.

Julia loves bling and black and gold is just 'her', so I chose to go with these colours.  The gold glimmer paper was so much more glamourous in real life and really looked great.

Designed to fit on the tag included with the framelits, I found another way to use the "open me" stamp from the bundle, by stamping it on the back of the envelope.

On the front of the envelope I stamped one of the images from Better Than Email - well, because, this snail is just so darned cute!  And who doesn't love snail mail?

Cased from hereI have changed the card slightly - I preferred my sentiment to be centered and I used the same die cut shape three times instead of using one of each.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Gold Glimmer Paper
Stamps: Window Shopping, Better Than Email
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Dies: Window Box Thinlits die

Guest Gifts - Rodney Extravaganza

On Saturday we held our second ever Rodney District Extravaganza.  Here are the 'table gifts' I made for my guests

These boxes were made with the Window Box Thinlits Die.

I used the coordinating stamp set Window Shopping to make the 'thanks' on the top by using the marker technique to ink up only part of the stamp.  If you don't know how to do this, its an incredibly useful technique and I'd love to be able to show it to you sometime.

The die set comes with that beautiful decoration for the top of the box , plus it comes with 3 different patterns to decorate the sides of your boxes (but lots of other uses too, including cards).  You'll see the different patterns on the front three boxes.

If you purchase the dies and the stamp set together, you'll save 10%.  As an added bonus, until the 31st of March, if you purchase this bundle in wood, you'll have earned yourself a free item from the Sale-a-bration brochure.  If you prefer to buy the clear mount stamps, add a bottle of Tombow Multipurpose Glue to adhere your box together, and you will earn your free Sale-a-bration gift.

The boxes are a great size and you can fit a decent sized gift inside them.
