Here are the cards that we made. You may not be able to see in the photo but we brushed the Wink of Stella pen over the "egg" to make it look more like foil.
There are quite a few of these "egg" cards around at the moment so I can't credit any one person, but it is not my original idea. I stamped a retired stamp onto the envelope to add to the Easter feel of the project.
The oval framelits dies mean these cards are very easy to make and they look very effective. You could also try this idea with other framelit dies and see what results you get. Feel free to share your projects with me if you do try it.
I was told beforehand that one member was celebrating a birthday so I took along a small gift. It turned out she was celebrating her 90th birthday! So lovely to see someone reach that milestone.
This cute little box uses the Curvy Keepsake die which I have cut from Mint Macaron cardstock. I then cut some of the It's My Party DSP with part of the die and adhered it on top of the cardstock to give the two-tone look to the box. It was the perfect wee gift with two Ferrero Rocher chocolates inside.
I will return in a couple of weeks time and make gift bags with the Monday group using our Gift Bag Punch board.
If you belong to a group that would like to partake in a craft event please let me know. I can discuss the various options and we can plan something that everyone will enjoy.
