Birthday card and gift bag

It was my best friend's birthday in the weekend.  She totally a cake girl (loves going out for cake for a treat) so I had to use the Party Wishes stamp set for her.  In particular the sentiment that says   "A Party Without Cake is Just a Meeting".

Here is the card I made for her which I changed very slightly from Ellen Woodbridge's that she made.

I also made a small matching gift bag using the Gift Bag punch board to pop her pressie in.  Instead of using the small, medium or large size on the board, I used the side measurement for all four sides to get a long narrow bag which was the perfect fit for my gift.

There was one other cool thing about this card and that's when you opened it up.  I used the Party Pop-Up Thinlits dies to create a 'wow' inside.  I put silver glimmer paper behind the pop-up "Happy Birthday" piece which created a smart contrast with the black inner.

You can buy these cool dies along with its matching stamp set as a bundle and save 15%. Or you can get the Party Wishes stamp set with the very cute little balloon, cupcake and candles punches (I used the candle on top of the cake in my card) and also save 15%.  Why wouldn't you when you can present your friends with cards as fabulous as this one.  My friend was very pleased with hers.
