Raspberry Pi for Christmas

My Husband has asked for a Raspberry Pi (which is a computer) for Christmas.  So a Raspberry Pie he wants.....

It is filled with his favourite chocolates - scorched macadamias (which I might add didn't all fit in the box so I'm hiding the rest in back of the fridge hoping he won't go looking for something, hee hee).

I couldn't resist the temptation when I knew we had these cute dies to make it with.  And you never know, Santa might just turn up with the kind of Raspberry Pi he really wanted in the first place in his bag for Christmas Day.

High Tea Birthday

My daughter was invited to a High Tea birthday party last weekend.  I decided to make another card using Hey Girl and the Window die very similar to the one I made a couple of weeks ago here

This time, because it was a high tea party, I decided to put cakes in the shop window instead of handbags.  Its not able to be seen in the photo, but the main cake with the candles had Dazzling Diamonds on the frosting to make it all sparkly and special.

The Birthday Girl's Mum told me at school on Monday that she loves her card and keeps looking at it.  It was such a lovely compliment and I'm so pleased she liked it.

Cardstock: Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron
Paper: Pretty Petals dsp
Stamps: Hey Girl, Sprinkles of Life, Endless Birthday Wishes, Guy Greetings,
Ink: Early Espresso, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, Daffodil Delight, Crisp Cantaloupe, Crumb Cake
Big Shot: Brick Embossing folder, Hearth & Home dies,
Other: Word Window punch, 2015-16 Stampin' Write Markers, Sponges,

Happy 90th Birthday

Not many of us are privileged enough to live to the age of 90 and it always warms my heart when I hear of people achieving this milestone.

This card is for a dear friend of my late Nana's.  This lovely lady used to write daily to her friends, often in a card instead of writing paper, just to say hello.  I'm not sure if she writes as frequently now as she used to but I know a birthday card in the mail will brighten her day.

So a very Happy Birthday to you Bernice.  May you have a wonderful day and receive many warm wishes in the mail.

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Watermelon Wonder
Paper: Pretty Petals DSP Stack
Stamps: Butterfly Basics, Back to Basics Alphabet, Awesomely Artistic, Endless Birthday Wishes
Ink: Watermelon Wonder, Old Olive

More Masculine Cards plus a Sneak Peek

Monday was Hubby's birthday and here are come of the birthday cards he received.  This is the one I made him

Have you spotted the sneak peek?  - What about those mini balloons and candles?  Yep, they're part of a new mini punch pack that will come out in the new Occasions catalogue in January, and yes as you can see they have a co-ordinating stamp set.

Our mini punch packs come in sets of 3 - there are two here, the balloons and the candles but that means there's one more in the set.  To find out what the third punch is, make sure you keep your eye out for details of the new Occasions Catalogue coming out in January - its a fabulous catalogue with so many fantastic things coming.

This is the inside of the card using another sneek peek - isn't that a great sentiment?

The next card here was made for him by my Mum using Gorgeous Grunge in Lost Lagoon, Very Vanilla (my photo looks white) and Basic Black

And finally the card that his Mum made for him.  Whilst not all Stampin' Up! it was still handmade with love and that's what counts.

If you'd like to make a card similar to this one, I recommend the Gift from the Garden stamp set (click on the link to see) which includes gardening gloves and a trowel plus a watering can, some gumboots and a couple of sentiments too.

Have you noticed yet that my husband doesn't like a lot of colour?  Any shade of black will do, sometimes blue, brown or green depending on the shade.  We've all three of us made him cards in colours we know he'll like.  The Go Wild DSP stack I used in my card had the perfect colour combination for him (and I suspect a lot of other guys too) - Basic Black, Tip Top Taupe and Whisper White.
Cardstock: Basic Black, Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White
Stamps: Happy Birthday Everyone (hostess), Guy Greetings, Party Wishes (sneek peek)
Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Tip Top Taupe
Other: Deco Labels framelits, Party Punch Pack (sneek peek)

Ink: Lost Lagoon
Other: Triple Banner Punch, Circles Framelits collection
