Fathers Day cards

I've been a little bit absent lately from here I know.  We are busy painting our hallway and all the doors and doorframes that that entails, and I'm also working behind the scenes on several craft items for my daughter's 5th birthday party.  I'll do a post soon with photos of her invitations which are nearly finished but in the meantime here are the cards I made for our Dads for Fathers Day.

The inspiration for this card came from Linda Kaufman.  I have changed it up slightly and I decided I wanted a bit of colour in mine.  What do you think?

Are you seeing a recurring theme here?  I do like our new Tip Top Taupe in colour for masculine cards.  It looks great with black so I have used the same colour scheme for both cards.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Tip Top Taupe, Basic Black, Whisper White, Memento Black, Soft Sky, Old Olive
Stamps: Traveller, Lovely as a Tree, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Butterfly Basics
Big shot accessories: Little Letters dies, Tags & labels framelits, Tiny Triangles Embossing folder Other: Word Window punch, Sponges, Bulldog clip
