Mother's Day card - wicker basket look trick

This was the card I made for my Mum for Mother's Day.  My inspiration came from here where the card was sitting on a basket of some sort.  I thought it looked so nice I decided to incorporate the basket into my card and here it is:

You might be wondering how I got my basket background?  Well I used the Adventure Bound designer series paper stack and in particular I used this piece ...

...but its the wrong colour I hear you say.  Yes its white at the moment, and to me it looks like a knitted jersey (although it could be a white wicker basket).  So I took out my sponge dabbers and I sponged it with baked brown sugar - sadly if you didn't get it already it has sold out - and now I think it looks like a basket.  What do you think?

I also used the little letters dies to cut the word Mum to make it a little more Mother's Dayish (is that a word?  Hmmm you know what I mean).

Supplies
Cardstock: Soft Sky, Whisper White
Stamps: Butterfly Basics
Ink: Lost Lagoon (stamped off), baked brown sugar, crumb cake,
