Thank You

Have you remembered Mothers Day?  I'm about to get started on my Mothers Day cards but first I needed a couple of thank you cards.  We will soon be saying goodbye to the 2013-2015 In Colours so I have used my favourite - Strawberry Slush on this card.

We Will Remember Them

We have been up early this morning attending our local dawn parade.  This is my card to commemorate Anzac Day.

To colour the flag I first stamped the image very lightly in crumb cake so I could only just see it.  Then I masked the flag part with and lined up with image with my stamp-a-ma-jig and stamped the image again in Early Espresso.  Then I coloured the flag with my blendabilities (now sadly discontinued).  The flower from Happy Watercolour was the closest I had to a Poppy.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Basic Black, Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White
Stamps: For Your Country, Work of Art, Happy Watercolour (retired)
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, Early Espresso
Other: Chevron Embossing folder, Banner framelits, White gel pen, Blendabilities

Belle birthday

Well I have just returned from a much enjoyed holiday with hubby and our girls.  We had a fantastic time in the South Island.  Whilst we were away it was our eldest daughter's birthday.  Her favourite Disney Princess at the moment is Belle so I made her a Belle card:

I cased her dress, with a few changes - can you spot the Elegant Butterfly punch - from Monica Young here but the rest of her - face and arms I created myself.  I have used the Elegant Butterfly punch again to create her ponytail.

My Mum also made her a lovely handmade card and whilst I know she cased the idea from Pinterest I'm not sure whose it was she based it on.  A very clever idea and well executed Mum.

And so too did her Gran make her a lovely handmade card but unfortunately I am unable to share that here with you.  But she is very lucky to have had such lovely cards made just for her and I'm sure she appreciated them all.

Happy Ruby Anniversary

It is my parents' Ruby Wedding Anniversary this month and this is the card I have made for them:

My inspiration started from here but instead of putting the hearts down the side I have chosen to add butterflies to the banner with 'rubies' for bodies (rhinestones coloured with Blendabilities).  A Ruby Anniversary is 40 years so I have used 4 'rubies' per body.

Happy Anniversary Mum and Dad.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Real Red
Stamps: Memorable Moments, Kinda Eclectic
Ink: Real Red, Daffodil Delight
DSP: Stacked with Love DSP stack
Other: Banner framelits, Elegant Butterfly punch, Rhinestones, Blendabilities
