Technique birthday

Using one of the techniques that Paula Reid and Narelle Hoggard taught at Extravaganza last weekend I've made this birthday card for a friend overseas.  I wanted to tie in the yellow from the reverse side of the designer series paper in somehow so I coloured the pearl in the middle with our blendabilities markers to match.

I used the matching petite petals stamp inside and on the envelope to give a coordinated look to the whole set.

Cardstock: Whisper White, Island Indigo
Paper: All Abloom designer series paper stack
Ink: Island Indigo
Stamps: Petite Petals, Another Great Year (retired), Express Yourself (hostess retired)
Other: Petite petals punch, Pearl, Blendabilities - Daffodil Delight

Well Saturday was a busy day for me at the Auckland Extravaganza.  Here are the projects the guests each made.

They made 2 of each of the small square cards which were designed to fit inside the box that says "Love" (or "Wish" - they had the choice of which word they wanted).

The other box is an "extended" version of the hamburger box die.  Rachael Knight and her team taught them how they could make a longer box using the hamburger die for the big shot and inside they were filled with marshmallows - yum!

The building block card at the back (right) had 2 choices, butterflies or baby themed, and then the card to the left used a variety of things including Flowershop and Petite Petals.

A great time was had by all.  The next event is scheduled for the 8th November.  More details to come closer to the time.

New Catalogue launch

I held my catalogue launch here on Saturday.  For those of you who were able to come, I hope you enjoyed it.  Sadly some people had to cancel at the last minute due to this awful cold that seems to be going around at the moment.  Anyway, I thought I'd show you some photos of the day.

Back right - Project Life page   Front Right - New Hamburger Dies    Front Middle - New Back to Black Designer Series Paper (Swap by Julia Leece)
I made up some quick little labels for the plates using the Artisian label punch and then folding it in half.

Hamburger Box Die - Crab

The new catalogue was released yesterday and in it is a new bigz die for the Big Shot called the Hamburger Box Bigz Die.  Here is a little guy I made using the die (thanks to Betty Traciak (Pinterest) for the idea):

My eldest daughter now wants me to make Ariel to go with it (not happening!)
Instead she has drawn a picture of Ariel and friends - I think she's done very well - By Emma, age 6

If you're coming to my launch on the 12th - my little crab will be there showing himself off.

New Catalogue is here

It's here!  We've been waiting in anticipation and the new catalogue is here.  It's jammed packed with heaps of exciting new things and its even bigger and better than the last one.

To see some of these fabulous new products, I'm having a launch workshop on Saturday week (12th July).  There will be new product to see and play with, lots of samples to look at and of course afternoon tea and a door prize up for grabs.

If you haven't already confirmed with me, please let me know you're coming to this FREE event by Thursday 10th July.

Happy crafting everyone - or should I say reading, as you'll be absorbed in this new catalogue for a while.
